The receipt of registration of aid applications for Decarbonization of Companies projects under the Climate and Energy Transition Incentive System (SITCE) – Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency is now open.

With a global allocation of 300.000.000 €, this measure aims to promote business decarbonization through the reduction of energy consumption, the use of renewable energy sources and the adoption of low-carbon and more energy-efficient technologies and production processes.

Typology of Operations

The main objective is to support companies in decarbonization and energy efficiency, by reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through the replacement, adaptation or introduction of low-carbon equipment, processes and technologies.

Eligible Expenditure

General:

  • Acquisition, replacement or adaptation of equipment or systems;
  • Renewable energy installations;
  • Interventions in the energy optimization of buildings (comply with the legislation on NZEB – Building with almost zero energy needs);
  • Acquisition or development of digital solutions, software, smart technologies or licenses;
  • Studies, diagnoses and audits, namely energy and certifications;
  • Expenses with TOC/ROC (Accountant/Auditor).

Interventions in buildings:

  • Installation of

    equipment for power generation, heating and cooling

    , including photovoltaic panels and heat pumps;

  • Installation of equipment for the storage of excess energy produced;
  • Connection to energy-efficient district heating and/or cooling systems and associated equipment;
  • Construction and installation of charging infrastructures for use by building users, such as pipes, when installed in or near the building;
  • Installation of equipment for the digitalisation of the building , in particular to increase its 'intelligence', including broadband infrastructure in the building;
  • Investments in green roofs and equipment for retention and use of rainwater.

Beneficiaries

Within the scope of the Climate and Energy Transition – Decarbonization of Companies, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Small Mid Caps and Large Companies (Non-SMEs) are eligible.

Geographic area

North, Center, Alentejo and Algarve.

Funding Rate

  • Non-building interventions: Until100% non-repayable
  • Intervenções em Edifícios: Until 80% non-repayable (Base rate 30% + Increases)

Application Date

Applications for the Registration of Aid Application are already underway.

It is expected that the opening of the tender notice will start in May 2025, according to theAnnual Notice Plan.
