The call for proposals Internationalization of SMEs – Joint operations opened, whose main objective is to strengthen the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs, as well as job creation and productive investment.
The allocation for this fund is 10 thousand euros with a maximum co-financing rate of 85%.
Which entities can apply?
Entities that are:
- Business associations, chambers of commerce and industry and tourism promotion agencies
- Public agencies with competences in the field of internationalisation
- Other non-profit entities when they participate in projects in co-promotion with one of the aforementioned entities, provided that it is justified in view of the nature of the operation.
Geographical area covered
The implementation of the actions must take place in at least two of the regions of:
- North
- Centre
- Alentejo
What are the costs covered?
You can apply for this support if you do any of the following:

Trademark Creation and Registration: This includes the development and launch of private labels, both nationally and internationally.
- Promotion and Dissemination: Expenses with creativity, media production, graphic and audiovisual materials.
- Rental of Spaces and Equipment: For promotion and dissemination events.
- Awareness and Information Actions: Implementation of educational activities.
- Acquisition of Specialized Content: Information relevant to the operation.
- Personnel Expenses: Relating to beneficiaries.
- Assembly and Decoration of Promotional Spaces: For events and campaigns.
- Transportation of Displays and Promotional Material.
- Third-Party Services: Consulting and technical assistance in specialized areas.
- Research and Diagnostics: Related to the development of the operation.
Specific conditions of access
- Joint Action Plan: Projects should be underpinned by a well-substantiated joint action plan.
- Pre-Accession Agreement: Companies participating in the joint project must sign a Pre-Accession Agreement.
- Maximum Duration: The projects to be supported in this Call must have a maximum duration of execution of 24 months.
- Financial Limits: The minimum limit of total eligible expenditure per project under this Call is 25 thousand euros, with a maximum limit of 10 million euros.
Application period
The period for submission of applications for the Internationalization of SMEs – joint operations, runs until April 30, 2024 or until the available budget allocation is reached.
